Work for disabled cited Author: Staff
A Houston man instrumental in the development of the Americans with Disabilities Act has been awarded a $50,000 prize for his advocacy work.
Lex Frieden, senior vice president of the Institute for Rehabilitation and Research and a professor at Baylor College of Medicine, is recipient of this year's Henry B. Betts award. He was nominated by former President Bush.
Frieden will be honored at the Library of Congress in Washington on Oct. 29.
